- Bournemouth Council (139): - Brother Ralph
Anthony writes -
- Thank you for all the wonderful support, messages of sympathy
and mass cards that we have received after the loss of Barbara.
We are indebted to all who came to receive her body on the Friday
& say the rosary together, and to all who attended the service
on Saturday in celebration of her life, including all the members
of the Knights of St. Columba. People came from far and wide
to show how popular she was and to support the family.
We are also grateful to all our dear friends, who helped organise
the funeral especially the great spread in the hall afterwards.
It did her proud. The amount donated to the Brother Lionel fund
on behalf of Barbara was £911.25. A wonderful sum, enough
to build a house in India in Barbara’s name.
- Basingstoke Council (169):- Brother Bob. Rae
writes
- Please pray for sick Brothers. Ian Parfitt. Frank Smith;
and Ted Allen
- Weymouth Council (183):- Brother Vernon Palmer
writes:-
- I had occasion to visit brother Les Webb tonight and have
an update on his well being. Les has now been moved to the
Radipole Ward, of West Haven Hospital, and is doing quite
well. He has been told by the Doctors that because he has
had total bed rest the problem with his back is starting to
heal itself and there is a possibility he will not require
an operation. There is then no need for him to be moved to
Poole and Bournemouth.
- Prayers are still requested for Brother Les and all being
well he should be home in about three weeks.
- Farnborough Council (185): - Brother Tony Hyman
writes
