Brothers, There have been no further deaths to report since my
last Bulletin.
The funerals at Dorchester of Brother Charles Webb of Council
185 Weymouth and at Bournemouth of Barbara Anthony were well attended
by Brother Knights, family and parishioners at both locations.
Please pray for them and those left to mourn their passing.
Also please take note of Brother Roger’s list of our sick
and housebound on page 8 of the September Bulletin and pray for
their recovery and good health.
August is now long past and the congregation of my parish begins
once again to grow in numbers. The children’s liturgy classes
are operating again and it is good to see them trooping down the
centre aisle with their little gifts at the Offertory. I suppose,
before long, we will be lighting Advent Candles, worrying about
Christmas greeting card lists and presents for the children and
grandchildren; and in my case great grandchildren as well.
Don’t forget our Annual Mass for deceased Brothers that
will be celebrated by Bishop Crispian for us in the Cathedral
on Tuesday 10th November at 7.30pm. It is always a great evening
both spiritually and socially.
At Provincial Council it was decided to go ahead with the proposed
day at Wisdom House, Romsey This will take place on Saturday 14th
November from 10am to 4pm. Please make every effort to support
this important study day. I understand that the cost will be £15
per person
Bill Davey (Provincial
Chancellor)
