PROVINCIAL ACTION & YOUTH MATTERS

Brothers,

As we prepare for the New Year 2011/2012, which for us starts at the beginning of April we face new challenges, it is a good time for us all to get better at our roles. With this in mind please add the 12th February to your diaries and make sure that elected officers in your Council attend the Training Seminar at St Edwards Cloister, Chandlers Ford.

The timetable for the Training Seminar on February 12th.

9:30am - Coffee
10:00am - Welcome from Brother Michael Gallagher, Provincial Grand Knight
10:15am - Talks on officers’ Roles in their Councils by Provincial Officers.
12:00pm - Angelus
12:30pm - Shared Lunch
1:15/1:30pm - Discussion topics
3:00pm - For the Good of The Order
3:30pm/4:00pm - Conclusion

This seminar proves very useful for all who attend Please ensure a good attendance.

Can all Councils please ensure that your entries for the Christmas Card Painting Competition are sent, either by your GK to the Provincial Council or to me at 29 Fernside Avenue, Poole, Dorset, BH14 0PN prior to our Provincial Meeting on March 6th. At this meeting we will select the Provincial Entries to be forwarded to the Supreme Council for judging. Let's hope for a winner for our Province this year.

May I also ask you all to check on the C-FAM website on a regular basis. This is the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute that have brought many things to our attention over the last 12 months with regards to issues that affect our Youth. They are very helpful in raising issues that are dealt with by the United Nations, supposedly on our behalf and sometimes have links to petitions to which we can sign up when we feel that issues "mitigates against the Catholic Church".

Yours Sincerely and Fraternally
Sean Smith [Provincial Action & Youth Convenor]
